Step 1: Submit your photo online
- Log in to your using your .
- Read and Agree to our Terms and Conditions.
- Review the photo requirements. If your photo does not meet the requirements, it will be rejected and you will be required to resubmit a new photo and your government-issued ID.
- Select the Tap to upload your photo box and either take your photo on-the-spot if using a mobile device or select a photo you already have saved.
- Click Next.
- Upload a copy of your valid government-issued photo ID by selecting the Tap to upload your photo box. Once your photo is approved, your government-issued ID is fully deleted from the system. Valid government-issued photo ID includes: Driver's licence, passport, Canadian citizenship card, permanent resident card, provincial photo ID card. Note: All four corners of your government-issued photo ID must be in the photo showing. Images must be jpg or png.
- Click Next.
- Once you are satisfied with your photo and copy of government issued ID, click Save & Submit.

Step 2: Wait for your approval email
If your photo meets our Ucard requirements, you will receive an approval email to your within 2 to 3 business days.
Note: If your online photo submission does not meet our requirements and is rejected, you will receive an email directing you to resubmit a new photo and your government-issued ID.

Step 3: Access your Ucard
Once you have received your approval email, access your digital Ucard through our Â鶹´«Ã½ Mobile app.
If you require specific door access on campus, follow the steps listed on the to request a proximity (access) card.

- Returning students with a physical card are no longer required to update their card annually. Instead, you must retain your existing physical Ucard or access your digital Ucard.
- If you require a physical Ucard replacement, please visit our Replacing your Ucard web page. (Note: A $25 replacement fee will apply.) For more information, visit our .
- The digital Ucard is the official Â鶹´«Ã½ ID. If you need further documentation to verify that you are enrolled at the university, please download a .
- The U-Pass is separate from the Ucard, and is issued to eligible students digitally through the PRESTO E-Tickets app. For more information, visit our U-Pass web page.
