Update on the transition to Canvas, Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s new learning management system

In July 2019 the university announced the decision to replace Blackboard, its current learning management system (LMS), with a new LMS called .

The go-live date for Canvas is only five days away, and as of April 14, 85 per cent of courses (January 2018 to January 2020) have been migrated to the new system.

Note: The migration of these courses only includes faculty content; no student information is included. In the coming months, the university will begin decommissioning the Blackboard application. Faculty and student users who wish to retain their intellectual capital from the phased-out Blackboard system must download content to their Google drive or other personal storage system before Monday, September 14.

The Information Technology Services department and the Teaching and Learning Centre remind you to take advantage of the many Canvas support and training resources available. .
