Introducing the university’s new learning management system
The Learning Management System (LMS) Renewal project team has reached a decision on the university’s future LMS. Based on extensive testing, evaluation and the project team’s recommendation, the Â鶹´«Ã½ University leadership team supports the decision to choose .
The Canvas ‘software-as-a-service’ model will position the university well into the future. Canvas will provide fast access to new features on the strength of its:
- Simple and flexible user experience.
- Built-in analytics.
- Support for open education.
- In-line grading.
Blackboard will continue to be the university’s LMS through the end of the Winter 2020 term. The project to manage the migration and implementation of Canvas for the Spring 2020 term will begin soon. The migration and implementation project team will engage the campus community to ensure the best possible faculty and student experience from Day 1. The team will provide a variety of course migration options, comprehensive technical support and extensive training.
