Reminder: Complete these required steps before this weekend’s email transition
As previously communicated, you will not be able to access your ontariotechu.ca email using Outlook on your desktop, via web (email.ontariotechu.ca) or via mobile device between 6 p.m. on Friday, February 21 and 6 a.m. on Monday, February 24. During this window, Information Technology (IT) Services will .
Note: Your ontariotechu.net email will still be available.
Please review and complete these applicable steps before the noted deadlines:
- Beginning Wednesday, February 19, avoid making changes to your Outlook calendar, including meeting adjustments or cancellations, until the transition is complete. Changes made during this period may be lost.
- Before Friday, February 21 at 6 p.m.:
- If you use a shared mailbox, make sure you know the username and password; you may need to enter this information to re-add the shared mailbox following the transition.
- If you use your email on your mobile device, . This will reduce the number of steps you need to complete when re-adding your email to your mobile device following the move.
- Close all opened Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and save any open documents.
- On Monday, February 24 (or the next time you log onto your computer after the transition period): Follow the instructions listed on the IT Services website, and proceed to Step 2 and Step 3 if required.
