Tracking sustainability engagement on campus
The university is tracking how many staff and students are participating in sustainability activities.
Each time you host a sustainability-related event (focusing on topics such as energy, transportation, social justice, Indigenous knowledge, species conservation, repurposing materials, well-being etc.), the Office of Campus Infrastructure and Sustainability (OCIS) asks that you record it using the .
OCIS wants to track this for at least a year (until January 2026). This valuable data will help the university score higher in the (STARS), a voluntary framework used by universities and colleges to measure, report and strengthen their contributions to global sustainability.
