How to prepare for the upcoming transition of ontariotechu.ca email to the cloud

As communicated in a January 16 campuswide email, Information Technology (IT) Services will transition all faculty and staff Outlook (@ontariotechu.ca) email accounts from physical on-campus servers to a cloud-based solution. The move is scheduled between 6 p.m. on Friday, February 21 and 6 a.m. on Monday, February 24.

Important note: While IT Services is completing this work, you will not be able to use Outlook on your desktop or on the web (email.ontariotechu.ca).

On Monday, February 24 (or the next time you log onto your computer after the transition period), you will need to complete three steps to access your ontariotechu.ca email, shared inboxes and mobile devices. Instructions for each of these steps are now available on IT Services' web page. IT Services encourages you to prepare for these steps by reviewing them and familiarizing yourself with the guides.

Every Thursday from January 23 to February 20, IT Services will host morning (10 to 11 a.m.) and afternoon (2:30 to 3:30 p.m.) virtual sessions where you can ask questions about this project and provide your feedback. .
