Recognizing Disability Employment Awareness Month at Â鶹´«Ã½
The university’s Accessibility Working Group (AWG) has planned a number of initiatives and activities throughout October in recognition of Disability Employment Awareness Month (DEAM).
Observed nationwide, DEAM promotes and celebrates the inclusion of people with disabilities in the workplace and recognizes all individuals who live with a disability, whether visible or invisible.
On Thursday, October 17, employees and students are encouraged to wear blue and purple in support of DEAM. On the evening of October 17, both Shawenjigewining Hall and Bordessa Hall will be lit up in blue and purple.
