The Women in Research Council (WIRC) invites Expressions of Interest for new Chair and committee members

The Â鶹´«Ã½ Women in Research Council (WIRC) invites Expressions of Interest for the Chair of WIRC for a two-year term beginning July 1, 2025. The successful candidate will work actively with the WIRC Advisory Committee, the Office of Research Services and, where appropriate, in collaboration with the Office of Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging. The Chair will advance the Council’s ongoing work, while developing and planning for new initiatives that can be led and supported by the Council. The Chair will also be expected to attend relevant meetings, events, or other engagements, if applicable.

The WIRC Chair position is open to all tenured Â鶹´«Ã½ faculty who identify as women, inclusive of transgender, non-binary, all other marginalized genders, BIPoC women and women with disabilities.  

As well, WIRC is seeking Expressions of Interest from faculty members, postdoctoral fellows and graduate students to join the WIRC Advisory Committee. Committee members work collaboratively to guide and steer the work of the Council. Committee members typically serve for two years, though a one-year term may also be considered. The Council is seeking committee members from all faculties. Membership in the committee is open to all regardless of their gender, race, religion, gender expression, sexual orientation, age, national origin or disability.
