Support AskMe initiative by wearing a button
AskMe information booths will be stationed across our north and downtown Oshawa campus locations Tuesday, September 3 through Friday, September 6 to welcome new and returning students to campus. These booths will be led by faculty, staff and students who have kindly volunteered their time during the first week of classes. A Student Engagement and Equity (SEE) staff member will also run virtual help for those who prefer speaking to someone online.
If you’re unable to volunteer at the booths, you can still pick up an AskMe button from SEE.
By wearing a button, you’ll indicate you’re available to answer questions from students about supports and resources, or offer directional support.
How to wear an AskMe button:
- Stop by any AskMe information booth between September 3 and 6.
- Booths will be located at various north Oshawa campus locations and at Charles Hall downtown Oshawa.
- Provide your contact information for tracking purposes.
- Wear your button throughout the first week of classes.
You don’t need any formal training to wear an AskMe button; however, if you would like a copy of SEE’s AskMe information booklet, which includes up-to-date campus resources, contact engagement@ontariotechu.ca.
