Join a Community of Practice at the Teaching and Learning Centre

Communities of practice allow Â鶹´«Ã½ academics to come together to address shared concerns, problems, or interests, and collaborate on individual and group goals.

Who can participate in the TLC's communities of practice?

  • Â鶹´«Ã½ instructors, teaching assistants, and staff are welcome.

How often do the communities of practice meet?

  • Monthly group meetings are held. Online course sites are also available for interactions between meetings.

What topics are covered?

The TLC currently facilitates communities of practice in two areas:

  • Generating ideas, seeking feedback, and sharing resources and stories related to Indigenizing and decolonizing content, instructional approaches, and interactions.
  • Exploring guidelines for implementing UDL principles, inclusive instructional design, instructional multimedia design, and accessible instruction to reduce barriers in any learning environment.
