Upcoming community cleanup events – April 22 and 23

Two community cleanup events have been organized in recognition of Earth Day (Monday, April 22):

North Oshawa campus location cleanup – April 22

The Office of Campus Infrastructure and Sustainability invites you to participate in a community cleanup at the north Oshawa campus location. to be a part of positive change in the community, and for a chance to win sustainability-themed prizes.

  • When: Monday, April 22 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Where: Campus Ice Centre (2200 Simcoe Street North)

Downtown Oshawa community cleanup – April 23

The Faculty of Social Science and Humanities Experiential Learning office invites you to join Oshawa Mayor Dan Carter, City Councillors, and other community partners for a community cleanup event. Get outdoors, team up with old and new friends, pick up litter and make a clear visual impact on downtown Oshawa.

Gloves and bags will be provided. Wear something comfortable (and ideally, something to show your Âé¶¹´«Ã½ pride!)

  • When: Tuesday, April 23, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
    • Free barbecue lunch served at 12:45 p.m. (provided by Oshawa MP Colin Carrie).
  • Where: Oshawa City Hall (outdoors, north side)

to participate by Friday, April 19 at noon.
