FSSH professor advises Policy Horizons Canada on Future of Sense-making report
Dr. Isabel Pedersen, Professor, Faculty of Social Science and Humanities, and Director of the , recently advised and the Government of Canada’s Centre of Excellence in Foresight on its report on ‘sense-making’: s the process by which we gather and interpret information to give meaning to our world, make decisions, and take action. The report explores how changes such as emerging technologies, misinformation, and shifts in shared narratives alter the kind of information we access, how we interpret it, whether we trust it, and how we make judgements and decisions about ourselves, others, institutions, and issues.
