FBIT Associate Professor edits special issue of Artificial Life Journal on Lifelike Computing Systems
Dr. Peter Lewis, Canada Research Chair in Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence, and Associate Professor, Faculty of Business and Information Technology, recently guest-edited a special issue of the Artificial Life journal, published by MIT Press, on Lifelike Computing Systems.
The publication features four articles assessing state-of-the-art development of computing systems that are designed to intentionally mimic living systems, and is the first journal issue to come out of the Lifelike Computing Systems initiative, which has hosted workshops at the International Conference on Artificial Life since 2020.
