Volunteers needed for AskMe information booths
The Office of Student Life seeks faculty, staff and students to volunteer for its on-campus information booths. Running Monday, January 8 to Wednesday, January 10, 2024, information booths will be stationed across the university’s north and downtown Oshawa campus locations to welcome new and returning students to campus. Volunteer support is needed to answer students’ questions and help them navigate our campus locations.
A Student Engagement and Equity staff member will offer virtual help for students who prefer speaking to someone online.
To sign up, complete the by Wednesday, December 20.
Training
- Asynchronous training materials will be sent via email on Thursday, December 21. The training will take approximately one hour to complete.
- The final volunteer schedule will be sent on the week of Monday, January 1, 2024.
- A virtual drop-in session will take place Thursday, January 4, 2024, from 2 to 4 p.m. via Google Meet for volunteers who have questions about their shift(s) and/or training materials.
