National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women

This ceremony will remember and honour the 14 women who were lost in an act of gender-based violence at École Polytechnique de Montréal on December 6, 1989.
This is a time for the community to come together to share their experiences and reflect on how we can move forward to create a world without gender-based violence.
The ceremony will include remarks from members of the engineering community, a candle lighting ceremony, and the unveiling of a new monument to honour the victims.
- Please note: the unveiling of the monument will take place outside, so please dress accordingly. Refreshments will be served after the ceremony.
