Marrium Khalid joins Human Resources team as our Â鶹´«Ã½ Environmental Health and Safety Officer

Marrium Khalid has joined the Human Resources team as Environmental Health and Safety Officer.

Marrium is a graduate of Toronto Metropolitan University’s Public Health and Safety Bachelor of Applied Science program and Occupational Health and Safety Certificate program. She is a Canadian Registered Safety Professional and is in the process of attaining her Certified Health and Safety Consultant designation. Marrium joins the university with over 10 years of experience working in various environmental health and safety roles for the Kearl Lake Oil Sands Project, Ontario Power Generation, and most recently, Lakeridge Health. 

Marrium’s dedication, team approach, strong interpersonal skills, and belief in continuous development support the university’s ongoing objective to provide and maintain a safe and healthy work and learning environment.

Marrium joins the university as Maureen Calhoun continues her principal role as the Environmental Health and Safety Officer with Durham College. On behalf of the university, we express our sincere thanks to Maureen for her dedication to health and safety, especially throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. We look forward to continuing to work together to promote the health and safety of students, faculty and staff on our shared campus.
