Check out the Office of Campus Infrastructure and Sustainability’s all-electric van
The Office of Campus Infrastructure and Sustainability (OCIS) has a new Ford all-electric E-Transit van which will replace a 2011 Chevrolet gas pickup truck.
The new Â鶹´«Ã½ graphic-wrapped van will be used by OCIS’s downtown Oshawa location Building Operators at Charles Hall to transfer items between the university’s downtown Oshawa location and Windfields Farm.
The enclosed vehicle will be safer and better for transfers during inclement weather, rather than items being exposed in an open-air pickup truck box.
The E-Transit van is part of Â鶹´«Ã½’s plan to electrify its fleet. Five of ten university vehicles with internal combustion engines (ICE) will be transitioned to zero-emission electric vehicles (EV).
