Upcoming emergency services training at the university’s north Oshawa campus location – May 30
Members of the Durham Regional Police Service, Oshawa Fire Service, Durham Emergency Medical Services and the university’s Office of Campus Safety (OCS) will perform emergency service training exercises at the university’s north Oshawa campus location on Tuesday, May 30 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The emergency service agencies and OCS will test emergency response plans to ensure an effective response to an incident on campus.
If you see tactical units, K9 units, HAZMAT personnel or an increase in first responders on campus, please note there is no active incident taking place.
Some areas in the Energy Research Centre (ERC), Gordon Willey Building, and Business and Information Technology Building will be temporarily blocked off during the training exercise. If you’re on campus, please avoid the closed-off training areas.
OCS and emergency response partners will oversee all operations during the training exercise with onsite safety officers clearly identified.
