Attend the Biodiversity Blitz on May 24 to spend time in nature and add to the campus biodiversity inventory
On Wednesday, May 24, the university’s Healthy Workplace Committee invites you to spend some time in nature and help the university work on the campus biodiversity inventory by participating in the Biodiversity Blitz. Spot different types of plants, animals and fungi at Windfields Farm lands. Who knows, you may even see a deer! Please dress for the weather (hats and sunscreen) and wear long pants and closed-toed shoes, as it is tick season. You’ll be walking a few kilometres, so make sure to bring a reusable water bottle to fill up throughout the event.
When: Wednesday, May 24 from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. (Rain date: Thursday, May 25)
Where: Meet at Windfields Farm lands () by the electric vehicle charger. Participants are encouraged to walk or carpool as parking is limited.
