Student Life staff offering mindful wellness sessions
Beginning Monday, January 30, Krista Elliott, Melanie Hewitt, and Lindsay Smith from the Office of Student Life will be offering virtual mindfulness sessions once a week on Mondays from 11 to 11:30 a.m. This is a new series of sessions suitable for someone just beginning, or for someone that has already developed their own mindfulness practice. Each session will be opened with a theme, then a guided meditation, and will close with a brief opportunity to connect in discussion.
Friendly reminders:
- Find a quiet room to meditate.
- Find a seating position that works for you (you can sit on a chair with back straight and feet flat on the floor, lay down flat on the floor, or sit in kneeling position with a cushion under your bottom).
- Close your Outlook as the notification sounds and emails can be distracting.
- Put your phone away and on silent mode.
