FSSH Speaker Series: Working to Address Opioid Overdoses in Durham Region – November 10

Canada recorded a daily average of 21 opioid-related deaths in 2021. What is being done at the local level to combat the crisis and stigma?

To explore this and other related questions, the (FSSH) will host Working to Address Opioid Overdoses in Durham Region on Thursday, November 10. The event is part of the FSSH Beyond the Walls Speaker Series.

Durham Region Health Department Public Health Nurses and Durham Region Opioid Task Force members will come together to share information about the and activities currently underway to help address opioid overdoses in Durham Region.

Dr. Steven Hayle, Associate Teaching Professor, FSSH, will facilitate the conversation. Dr. Hayle is the current Chair of the Durham Region Opioid Task Force. The session will be recorded.
