Bannock and Books featuring Unreconciled: Family, Truth, and Indigenous Resistance by Jesse Wente – December 5

Indigenous Education and Cultural Services invites faculty and staff to participate in Bannock and Books, an Indigenous book club series designed to bring hearts and minds together as participants explore Indigenous culture, ways of knowing, and experiences.

The featured book for the December Sharing Circle is Unreconciled: Family, Truth, and Indigenous Resistance by Jesse Wente. Wente is an arts journalist and chairperson of the Canada Council for the Arts. He is an Ojibwe member of Serpent River First Nation.

  • When: Monday, December 5 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
  • Where: First Peoples Indigenous Centre, Durham College (Centre for Collaborative Education, Room 141)
