Canada Graduate Scholarships now accepting applications for Master’s (CGS-M)

Domestic upper-year undergraduate and current graduate students who intend to pursue graduate studies in the 2023-2024 academic year are encouraged to apply for a Canada Graduate Scholarship (Master’s) (CGS-M), administered jointly by Canada’s three granting agencies:

  • Canadian Institute for Health Research (CIHR)
  • Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC)
  • Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC)

Value: $17,500 for one year

Deadline: Thursday, December 1

Quotas:

  • CIHR – one
  • NSERC – five
  • SSHRC - five

Transcripts: Students must include their official post-secondary transcripts in their application by uploading them to the online application portal.

To be eligible, students must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents and have achieved a minimum GPA of 3.70/4.30 in each of the last two years of study.
