Volunteers needed for campus information booths between September 6 and 9
The Office of Student Life seeks faculty, staff and students to volunteer for on-campus information booths.
Running Tuesday, September 6 through Friday, September 9, information booths will be stationed across north and downtown campus locations to welcome new and returning students.
We need volunteers to answer student questions and help them navigate campus. Some students may be on campus for the first time since the pandemic.
A Student Engagement and Equity staff member will also provide virtual help for those who prefer speaking to someone online.
To sign up, complete the by Monday, August 29 at noon.
Volunteers will receive an email the week of August 29 confirming their shift and booth location along with training materials.
Training
- The asynchronous training session is mandatory and will take approximately one hour to complete.
- Volunteers will receive an overview of the program, tips on wayfinding and providing support, and information about COVID-19 health and safety measures and protocols.
- Volunteers will receive an email the week of August 29 with a link to the training.
Volunteers will also receive a PDF with relevant information and a schedule of campus activities taking place during the first week of school (printed copies are available upon request). Â鶹´«Ã½-branded shirts will be provided to those who require it.
