Upcoming emergency services training at the university’s north Oshawa campus location - August 18 and 19

Members of the Durham Regional Police Service, Oshawa Fire Service, and Durham Emergency Medical Services will perform emergency service training exercises at the university’s north Oshawa campus location on Thursday, August 18 and Friday, August 19 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  The emergency service agencies will test emergency response plans to ensure an effective response to an incident on campus.

If you see tactical units, HAZMAT personnel, or an increase in first responders on campus, please note there is no active incident taking place.

Some areas in the Energy Systems and Nuclear Science Research Centre (ERC), Gordon Willey Building, and South Village Residence Cafeteria will be temporarily blocked off during the training exercise. If you’re on campus, please avoid the closed-off training areas.

The Office of Campus Safety and emergency response partners will oversee all operations during the training exercise with onsite safety officers clearly identified.
