Institute for Disability and Rehabilitation Research to host Advancing Disability Rights Around the World panel – September 14

Â鶹´«Ã½ University’s Institute for Disability and Rehabilitation Research (IDRR) is hosting a panel featuring frontline experts who will explore how fundamental human rights ground disability and rehabilitation research.

The panel, Advancing Disability Rights Around the World, happens virtually on Wednesday, September 14, from noon to 1:30 p.m.

Panel speakers

  • Evelyn Kissi, Assistant Professor, University of Ghana
  • Valentina Pomatto, Inclusive Development Advocacy Manager, Humanity and Inclusion
  • Claude Tardif, President, International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics

This event is part one of a four-part virtual speaker series titled Advocates Assembly: Disability Research from the Ground Up. Each event this Fall will ask disability justice activists and advocates and disability-centered service providers how to frame the future of disability and rehabilitation research.

The virtual panel is open to community.  Live captioning and American Sign Language translation will be provided.
