Canadian Institutes of Health Research launches Reviewer in Training Program
The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) is launching a new for the Fall 2022.
Through the RiT program, early career researchers (ECRs) (recently appointed academics in their first five years of research activities) will gain a better understanding of the elements of high-quality review and the peer-review process through direct participation in the Project Grant competition with the support of a mentor. RiT participants will conduct practice reviews of up to three applications, attend the peer-review meeting, present one of their reviews, and participate in the committee meeting. Following completion of the RiT program, participants will be promoted within CIHR’s and are expected to participate in peer review when requested and available to do so.
The application period for the RiT program is open through Friday, August 12.
