Deadline to submit farewell photos/videos for Rick Bourque extended to Friday, July 29
Indigenous Education and Cultural Services (IECS) invites faculty and staff to join them in saying thank you and farewell to Rick Bourque, Traditional Knowledge Keeper, as he embarks on a new adventure.
Rick joined Â鶹´«Ã½ in 2012 as a Sweat Lodge Conductor. Since then, many students, faculty, staff and community youth have had the great privilege of learning from him. Over the last 10 years, Rick participated in university outreach and recruitment programming and the development and delivery of Turtle Island summer camps. He has also welcomed students and members of the community by providing ceremonial welcomes at countless university events. Additionally, he played an integral role in the opening of the Baagwating Indigenous Student Centre and more recently, the naming of, and naming ceremony for, Shawenjigewining Hall.
Updated photo/video submission deadline: IECS is creating a compilation of photos and recorded videos to share with Rick prior to his departure. If you have any photos of Rick, or would like to record a farewell video, please by Friday, July 29.
