Applications open for students to participate in the Organization of Canadian Nuclear Industries Youth Shadow Council program
The Organization of Canadian Nuclear Industries (OCNI) invites students to apply for its . The program connects youth and industry experts who want to shape the future of the Canadian nuclear industry. Please encourage interested students to apply.
About the program:
OCNI is an association of more than 200 leading suppliers of the nuclear industry in Canada. OCNI member companies employ more than 15,000 highly skilled and specialized people in Canada, who manufacture major equipment, medical and safe applications of nuclear technology, and provide engineering support services with CANDU and small modular reactor technology for nuclear power plants domestically and internationally.
The OYSC program functions as a volunteer youth advisory group collaborating with the OCNI team to promote youth leadership development and engagement on key issues in the Canadian nuclear energy sector. Successful applicants would commit to participating in the program September 2022 through April 2023.
Eligibility requirements:
The council will include at least one member from each province who is:
- A Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada.
- Between the ages of 18 and 30.
- A student or recent graduate (individuals are encouraged to apply regardless of academic major, discipline, or field of specialization).
