Â鶹´«Ã½ to be part of Ontario’s Auditor General annual value-for-money audit
The conducts annual of provincial government programs, agencies and certain public-sector organizations to examine how they manage their activities, responsibilities and resources. Â鶹´«Ã½ has been selected, along with three other Ontario universities, to be included in this year’s VFM audit process.
The independent and objective review will assess whether selected publicly-funded universities in Ontario have effective systems, processes and governance practices in place that ensure:
- Academic programs are delivered and resources, including capital, are acquired economically and efficiently to enable long-term financial sustainability.
- Operational effectiveness is measured, assessed and publicly reported in compliance with legislation and best practices.
- Relevant legislation, regulations, agreements and policies are in place and adhered to.
As part of the process, the Auditor General’s office will visit the university in June.
