Call for expressions of interest: Chair/Co-Chair for Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s new Womxn in Research Council
The university’s and the has launched the Womxn in Research Council. Applications for the Chair/Co-Chair position are open through Thursday, November 18.
The Womxn in Research Council will advise the Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, and the Office of Research Services as Â鶹´«Ã½ seeks to identify and remove barriers to create a research ecosystem that is expansively gender-inclusive, physically and psychologically safe, productive for, and attractive to current and future women researchers.
Funding for proposed projects
Applicants for the Chair/Co-Chair position can request funding of up to $30,000 for a one-year term (Saturday, January 1, 2022 through Tuesday, February 1, 2023) for their proposed projects and programming for the Womxn in Research Council. Funding is provided by the institutional grant program; all funding requests must support activities primarily using social sciences methods and approaches, and activities that contribute to knowledge and training in the social sciences and humanities disciplines.
Eligibility
The position is open to all tenure and tenure-track Â鶹´«Ã½ faculty who identify as women, inclusive of transgender, non-binary, all other marginalized genders; Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour (BIPOC) women; and women with disabilities. Proposals may be submitted by one applicant who can serve as Council Chair for the one-year term or by two co-applicants who can serve as Council Co-Chairs for the one-year term.
