Student Life: Help create a culture of consent
As we start the Fall semester, the university’s Office of Student Life invites faculty, staff and students to make a pledge that demonstrates their support to end sexual violence and help create a culture of consent.
Consent culture respects bodily autonomy and is based on the belief that a person is always the best judge of their own wants and needs.
Examples of pledges that promote a positive message:
- I am committed to learning more about campus resources for victims and survivors.
- I believe victims and survivors.
- I understand and respect a victim’s or survivor's choice to report or not report an incident.
Complete a consent culture pledge before Thursday, September 30.
Note: Submitted pledges may be shared anonymously on Student Life’s social media channels and/or posted on campus.
