Scheduled testing of Shawenjigewining Hall’s fire alarm – Wednesday, September 22
The university will continue fire alarm testing for the remaining spaces in Shawenjigewining Hall at the university’s north Oshawa campus location on Wednesday, September 22.
Testing and inspection will take place approximately from 1 to 4 p.m. and will include an audibility test along with flashing emergency lights in corridors. Please keep this in mind when scheduling meetings.
During the test, the alarm can be ignored. In case of an actual fire, a clear announcement will be made to occupants.
The university realizes an exercise of this nature can be an unwanted distraction; however, it is necessary to maintain the highest level of safety for faculty, staff, students and visitors.
