Participate in National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day with the Â鶹´«Ã½ community – Thursday, September 30
Beginning Thursday, September 30, Â鶹´«Ã½ University will observe National Day for Truth and Reconciliation as a day of recognition, remembrance and respect for survivors of Canada’s former residential schools, and a day to learn about the ongoing intergenerational impacts of residential schools on Indigenous communities. The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation coincides with , founded in 2013 by Phyllis Jack Webstad as a grassroots effort to raise awareness of the tragic history and ongoing legacy of residential schools, and ensure it is never forgotten.

- Purchase an orange t-shirt made by Nish Tees, an Indigenous-owned business. Nish Tees will donate proceeds from their Orange Shirt Day t-shirt sales to provide tuition support for Indigenous children to attend .
