Introducing the new digital Â鶹´«Ã½ Ucard

The Information and Client Services department in the Office of the Registrar has launched the Â鶹´«Ã½ Ucard, a newly designed, digital version of the university’s campus identification (ID) card.

The digital Â鶹´«Ã½ Ucard:

  • Replaces previous campus ID cards.
  • Displays your photo, Banner ID number and barcode to identify you as a member of the Â鶹´«Ã½ community.
  • Is accepted in most places your ID barcode is currently used to access university facilities, resources and services, both on and off campus (see notes below for a list of exceptions).
  • Is quick and easy to access: Upload your photo and obtain your virtual Ucard using the Â鶹´«Ã½ Mobile app.
  • Adheres to security measures: Government-issued photo identification is required to release a new Â鶹´«Ã½ Ucard to a cardholder.

How to access your digital card

  • Current faculty and staff: Use your mobile device to sign in to the Â鶹´«Ã½ Mobile app and navigate to the Digital ID section. Your new digital Â鶹´«Ã½ Ucard will automatically appear.
  • New faculty and staff: to upload your photo and set up your new digital Â鶹´«Ã½ Ucard.

Notes:

    • Enter restricted areas, or buildings outside of regular hours (your card will have proximity capabilities).
  • Physical cards for current faculty/staff will be replaced, upon request only, beginning Monday, October 4.
