Nominations open for Citizen to Leader program

The Human Resources department is offering the Citizen to Leader program for staff who are interested in developing their leadership skills.

The online course will include a series of seminars designed to develop and enhance your leadership capacity and better equip you for increased responsibility. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of their leadership capabilities, enhance their communication and coaching skills, build relationships, network with colleagues and exchange ideas.

The program is suited for emerging leaders and those who have the potential to move into future leadership opportunities at the university.

The Citizen to Leader program aims to:

  • Assist individuals in identifying the necessary capabilities required to develop themselves for their current or future roles at the university.
  • Help participants understand and demonstrate the university's values.
  • Help participants understand self and others and move towards being authentic transformational leaders.
  • Raise awareness about the role and challenges of leadership at the university.
