Registration open for Summer STEAM Camp for youth
The Faculty of Education’s will run two research-based summer camps this summer: Summer Camp for Problem Solvers and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Adventure Camp.
The five-day virtual camps are free for participants, however, there is a required research component. Those who join the camp must sign a consent waiver to participate in research. More information about the study is included in the registration form.
Summer Camp for Problem Solvers
This camp is for children who want to sharpen their math skills and prepare for their next year of school.
The camp will provide opportunities to:
- Code, design, create and play with various virtual platforms.
- Develop plausible solutions for real-life problems.
- Improve creativity and problem-solving skills.
- Learn some mathematical concepts and subjects.
- See coding in action by programming and creating 3D models and worlds.
When: Monday, August 9 through Friday, August 13 from noon to 3 p.m.
Where: Google Meet (a Google Meet link will be provided to registered participants).
The Summer Camp for Problem Solvers is for youth beginning grade 4, 5 or 6 this Fall.
