Upcoming changes to senior administrative roles within the Office of the President and Office of the Provost

The university announces changes to senior administrative roles within the Office of the President and Office of the Provost.

Cathy Pitcher, Assistant to the President, will retire on Tuesday, June 1. Cathy joined Â鶹´«Ã½ University in January 2010 as Assistant to the Vice-President, External Relations. In 2011, she moved to her current role in the Office of the President, serving three of the university’s four presidents. Cathy represents a key link to the university's formative years, having worked at Durham College and as the Board Secretary for Founding President Gary Polonsky during the university’s inception.

The university is deeply grateful to Cathy for her years of service and commitment, and wishes her all the best for a well-deserved retirement.

Krista Hester has transitioned to the role of Assistant to the President as of May 3. Krista joined Â鶹´«Ã½ in 2007 as an Administrative Assistant with the university’s Office of the President and Provost. She advanced through successive positions as Senior Administrative Assistant and Senior Executive Assistant with the Provost’s office, before assuming her most recent role as Assistant to the Provost in 2014.

In addition, effective April 19, Stephanie Callahan assumed the role of Assistant to the Provost. Stephanie has served as Executive Assistant to the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science since 2014, providing executive-level confidential administrative and operational support to the Dean while managing the daily operations of the Dean’s office.
