Participate in a family-friendly day of science discovery with Science Rendezvous - May 8
Â鶹´«Ã½ University is hosting Science Rendezvous on Saturday, May 8 beginning at 9 a.m.
Take part in the free, virtual event to experience hands-on science activities by participating in Science Chase.
Participants will:- Begin Science Chase virtually with Â鶹´«Ã½ STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) experts and complete eight challenges (suitable for ages six and older).
- Visit other virtual venues across Canada.
- Participate in STEAM activities and learn about Canadian research and innovations along with the art in science.
- Collect points for the national Science Chase leaderboard.
- DIY elephant toothpaste
- Homemade slime
- Learn about fish mating dances and parental care
- Math mystery
- My racing heart experiment
- Origami DNA
- Secret messages
- Virtual tour of the Â鶹´«Ã½ University Aquatic Omics fish lab with Dr. Denina Simmons of the Faculty of Science
