Additions to role and responsibilities of Jamie Bruno, Assistant Vice-President, Human Resources

The COVID-19 pandemic has presented us with challenges and opportunities to examine the way we work. The university's goal is to emerge from this experience stronger, more flexible, and even more resilient. To help us achieve this, we've expanded the role of Jamie Bruno, Assistant Vice-President, Human Resources, to help position Â鶹´«Ã½ University as an employer of choice. His title has also been changed to Chief Work Transformation and Organization Culture Officer. In this expanded role, he will:

  • Provide executive-level direction and leadership on work-transformation planning and initiatives.
  • Develop transformational strategies that enrich the employment experience.
  • Partner on enterprise business and system changes, including liaising with the Provost and Vice-President, Academic, and the Vice-President, Administration, on future operational planning efforts.
  • Advance recommendations that support a value proposition of being an employer of choice.

Jamie will maintain responsibility for the university’s human resources operation, including the integrated service-delivery model supporting our faculties and departments. Within this portfolio, he will continue to report to Dr. Lori A. Livingston, Provost and Vice-President, Academic, and report to Dr. Steven Murphy, President and Vice-Chancellor, for all aspects of the transformation portfolio.
