Participate in the Dear Everybody workshop on January 13

Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital is Canada’s largest children’s rehabilitation hospital, with a mission to drive social justice for children and youth with disabilities. To support this goal, in 2017 Holland Bloorview launched the  to eliminate disability stigma and promote meaningful inclusion.

This year, Holland Bloorview is raising awareness about the lack of representation of people with disabilities in the media. It’s this lack of representation that often leads to stigma, accessibility barriers and exclusion. 

The university’s will partner with Holland Bloorview to present the Dear Everybody workshop on Wednesday, January 13. Participants will learn about disability and reflect on their biases. The workshop, facilitated by Holland Bloorview staff with personal experiences with disability, will include an engaging interactive component to encourage conversations around creating inclusive spaces.

This event is open to all faculty, staff and students.

  • When: Wednesday, January 13 from 4 to 5 p.m.
