COVID-19 response: Temporary elimination of the requirement for medical notes from students

The university’s Academic Council has approved a to the COVID-19 pandemic that recognizes that due to the evolving state of the pandemic, the university will need to adjust certain practices in order to follow suggested public-health guidelines.

To that end, Â鶹´«Ã½ has suspended the need for students to present medical notes for missed assignments, tests and exams until further notice. 

Note: Students must still fill out the and inform their course instructor that they will be away for medical reasons. 

In accordance with the university’s academic conduct policy, students must be honest in their use of medical absences. Any misrepresentation of facts that have an effect on academic evaluation could result in academic sanctions including, but not limited to, suspension. 

Students who miss coursework, tests or examinations for reasons other than medical causes must still fill out the academic consideration form with the required supporting documentation for review by the student’s faculty.
