Public lecture by candidate for Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science - September 30

The Dean Advisory Search Committee has been busy reviewing a high-quality pool of applicants for the next Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science. Following the Committee’s first round of interviews, two finalist candidates will make individual public presentations to members of the university community. The Office of the Provost would be grateful for your virtual attendance at these presentations and for your subsequent feedback. Each presentation will include a question-and-answer session; please send proposed questions to provost@ontariotechu.ca to be read to the candidate.

Following the public presentations, you are invited to provide your feedback on each candidate in writing. To ensure the confidentiality of your feedback, you may communicate directly to Nick Chambers, the consulting firm representative from Boyden Executive Search. Boyden will anonymize and summarize this feedback before providing it to the Search Committee for consideration in their deliberations. Because the Committee is on a tight timeline, it will need your feedback no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, October 2.

To maintain confidentiality, and to ensure the finalists are able to remain active in our search process, we will delay publicly releasing candidate names until shortly before the presentations. Their CVs will be available for viewing. Please contact provost@ontariotechu.ca if you wish to review the CVs prior to each of the presentations.

Presentation schedule:

  • Candidate 1: Presented on the morning of September 29.
  • Candidate 2: Will present Wednesday, September 30 from 9 to 10 a.m. .

Important note: Due to recent security enhancements from Google, you may only access the livestream with your OntarioTechU.net account.
