Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s Women for STEM Virtual Summit – October 15
On Thursday, October 15, the Advancement department will host a virtual version of the Women for STEM Summit. The event will bring together industry and university leaders, academics, students and alumni in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) careers to explore the challenges women in STEM-related disciplines face, and the importance of gender diversity in building a better future.
Keynote speakers:
- Kevin Peesker, President, Microsoft Canada
- Rhonda Barnet, President and Chief Operating Officer, AVIT Manufacturing
The event will also include a panel session with Â鶹´«Ã½ President Dr. Steven Murphy and other industry leaders exploring the topic Leadership in a Time of Crisis.
Faculty and staff are welcome to attend this free event. Donations to the university’s are welcome.
