Join the CanCOVID Network

The Office of Research Services encourages researchers with relevant expertise working on COVID-19 research projects to consider joining , an expert network of Canadian COVID-19 researchers, clinical collaborators, and health-care stakeholders from across the country. Canada’s Chief Science Officer mandated the creation of CanCOVID to expedite communication and collaboration between the scientific, health-care and policy communities during the COVID-19 crisis.

The CanCOVID network promotes:

  • Collaboration: Problem-solving, troubleshooting, sharing and vetting results.
  • Co-ordination among researchers, nationally and internationally.
  • Communication between scientists, clinical collaborators, funding agencies, government policy makers, and health-care practitioners.

Who can join the CanCOVID network?

CanCOVID network membership is by invitation, and is restricted to verified members of the COVID-19 expert research and response community with recognized expertise in areas such as:

  • cohort studies
  • community health
  • diagnostics
  • fundamental science
  • health care
  • Indigenous knowledge
  • medical devices
  • modelling
  • patient perspectives
  • policy decision-making
  • social and behavioural sciences
  • vaccines and therapeutics
