Read the President’s Indigenous Reconciliation Task Force Status Report
The university’s President’s Indigenous Reconciliation Task Force recently released a status report detailing the task force’s team-building, planning and public-education efforts from Spring 2018 to Spring 2020.
The report also describes accomplishments within the following priority areas for reconciliation activity at the university:
- Increasing Indigenous artistic and visual representation.
- Increasing Indigenous student presence.
- Increasing Indigenous staff and faculty presence on campus
- Providing relevant training to staff and faculty
- Inclusion of Indigenous content, perspectives and ways of knowing across curricula
- Building relationships, partnerships, and protocols with local Indigenous communities.
