Public lectures by candidates for Dean, Faculty of Education – May 19 and 20
The Dean Advisory Search Committee has reviewed a high-quality pool of applicants interested in becoming the next Dean of the Faculty of Education. The committee completed a first round of interviews and has now narrowed down the list to two finalist candidates. These candidates will make individual public presentations to the university community on Tuesday, May 19 and Wednesday, May 20. Each presentation will include a question-and-answer session; please send your proposed questions to provost@ontariotechu.ca in advance so they can be read to the candidate.
Following the public presentations, you are invited to provide your feedback on each candidate in writing. To ensure the confidentiality of your feedback, you may communicate directly to Laverne Smith, the consulting firm representative from Laverne Smith & Associates Inc. Please submit your feedback by Friday, May 22.
To maintain confidentiality, and to ensure the finalists are able to remain active in our search process, the university will delay publicly releasing candidate names until shortly before the presentations. Their CVs will be available for viewing. Please contact provost@ontariotechu.ca if you wish to review prior to each of the presentations.
Presentation schedule:
- Candidate 1: Tuesday, May 19 from 11 a.m. to noon -
- Candidate 2: Wednesday, May 20 from 3 to 4 p.m. -
