Reminder from IT Services about best email practices
The global pandemic has brought challenges on many fronts, and in particular has dramatically escalated cybersecurity threat activity.
From time to time, anyone can fall prey to cyber scams, e.g. by clicking on a bad attachment to an email or by accidentally exposing login credentials.
Please remember to be vigilant always, and:
- Immediately report suspicious activity in posts and emails to the Service Desk.
- Avoid reusing the same email account and password combination for multiple websites.
- Watch for the words EXTERNAL EMAIL at the top of an email message. This indicates the message did not come from our internal email systems.
- Think before you click!
