CANCELLED - RISE: First Peoples workshop for students – March 18 and 23
Note: The university is looking to minimize the number of events on campus as much as possible over the next several weeks. In support of public health and the well-being of our campus community, these events have been cancelled.
The Office of Student Life will offer the Respecting Individuals and Supporting Equity (RISE): First Peoples workshop for students on Wednesday, March 18 and Monday, March 23. Participants will learn about the history of Indigenous peoples in Canada, and engage in interactive activities that address the negative impact colonization continues to have on Indigenous peoples today. Please encourage students to attend.
Downtown Oshawa session:
- When: Wednesday, March 18 from noon to 2 p.m.
- Where: Baagwating Indigenous Student Centre, 151 Athol Street East
North Oshawa session:
- When: Monday, March 23 from 2 to 4 p.m.
- Where: North Oshawa Campus Library, Fireside Reading Room
