Winter 2020 Teaching Squares opportunity for all faculty

Are you a full-time or part-time faculty member looking to connect with academic colleagues about best teaching practices?

is a professional development program where colleagues from a range of disciplines share reflections about teaching. Organized as groups (squares), instructors may be from Â鶹´«Ã½, Durham College or Ontario Power Generation. Participants visit each other’s classes to observe teaching methods, classroom materials and classroom management. After observation, they meet together informally share comments. Participants also prepare their own individual reflections summarizing their key takeaways. The program concludes with a wrap-up get-together to explore the overall experience.

Interactions may be face-to-face or online. The total time commitment over the semester is about six to eight hours. Return participants are welcome!

Registration for the Winter 2020 offering of this program is open until 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 9.
